A multi-family residential property, once a component piece to one of Washington, DC's original colonial farmland acreages, is still owned and managed by a descendant of the property's first owner. The property owner has contracted KBLA to design/re-design property planting plan, pedestrian pathway circulation & pavement systems, new passive/active recreation program, a potential water feature, and enhance/reinforce overall property identity and sense of place. Project design work is being developed within the property's inherent historic material/design language yet compatible with contemporary/modern programmatic needs.
